The data holder is the person that holds your data, and to whom Datajoy will submit a request to exercise your data rights on your behalf. The data user, or data recipient, is the person who will use your data and from whom you may obtain services.
Datajoy act as mandate receiver and does not represent the data holder or the data user.
Yes it works in all EU countries.
Datajoy only stores data in the EU. When selecting suppliers that have access to individual's personal data, Datajoy's only selects suppliers where the jurisdiction is in Switzerland, the EU, or if in the US, where client side encryption is possible.
Update Jan 2026: Currently Google is the only US provider where Client Side Encryption is not yet enabled and through witch your data received from data holders may transit. Fixing this is high our our to do.
Yes, you retain control of your company or personal data with Datajoy. You may ask us for information on the status of requests at any time, and inspect, filter or delete your data.
